Junior Section

A very warm welcome to Morpeth Golf Club Junior Section.
The Junior Section is all about inclusion and encouraging learning whilst ensuring juniors have fun with friends and peers.
There are many options for junior golfers of all ages and abilities to take part in. All in a fun, structured and safe environment. Morpeth Golf Club is keen to protect the future of golf and we recognise the need to invest in Juniors at the earliest opportunity. We have a comprehensive junior programme from the Junior Golf Academy through to full playing membership and beyond.

Northumberland Junior Golf League

We participate in the Northumberland Junior Golf League. This has proved to be a valuable way for our juniors to grow in confidence and learn about rules, etiquette and the ‘Game of Golf’.

Junior and Club Competitions

Juniors with active CONGU handicaps are welcome and encouraged to participate in the Men’s and Ladies competitions throughout the season with prior consent from the relevant handicap secretaries. There will also be 9 hole events for those juniors who are not quite ready to complete 18 holes, along with fun days for younger juniors and beginners who are not quite confident to venture on the course.

Junior Golf Academy

We are proud of our Junior Academy which provides fun, structured tuition for juniors aged 6 - 18. The academy is led by one of our PGA Professionals with support from volunteers and is a great place to start a child's golfing journey.
