I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and say how delighted I am to have been elected as Captain of Morpeth Golf Club for the 2008/09 year.

On the Golf side I play off a handicap of 12 and am currently a member at The Northumberland Golf Club with past memberships at Loch Lomond and Slaley Hall.

On a personal note, I live almost next to the Golf Club at Tranwell Woods. I am Chairman of Straightline Construction Co. Ltd, a medium sized business, based in Newcastle.

Looking forward to the season I would welcome all members to attend our league matches, home and away where we are determined to build on the success of last season.

I would be delighted to play a few holes with as many members including juniors. You can leave details with the club office.
