About Us
Morpeth Golf Club has a proud history.
Situated just 15 miles north of Newcastle, our course is one of the
North East's gems. Formed back in 1906, the gentlemen of Morpeth initially
played their golf on a field at Tranwell before moving to the club's
present location on the outskirts of the town. The course was designed
by six-times British Open champion Harry Vardon and offers you a golfing
experience that is as picturesque as it is challenging.

The Clubhouse offers a great range of food & drink to enjoy before or after your game. CJH Catering can also take care of your family or business functions throughout the year.
Our famous Golfers' Breakfast will give you plenty of energy for a decent round.
We also serve tees & coffees, hot & cold snacks, and a full lunchtime menu.
During the summer months, we also have our fabulous Friday Steak Nights - please call us to book.
